Anonymous asked: I have to ask you, what are your favorite movie(s) and why?

My all time favourite movie is Harold and Maude. When I was a kid my Mum would always try to hire it out from the video store to no avail, she spent years trying to convince them to add it to the collection promising it would bring delight to many. When she told me the film was about the love between a young man and an 80 year old woman, I scrunched up my face in disgust. This was before you could download movies and DVDs were not yet born, so it slipped from my mind.

Years later Mum came home one day with the DVD tucked under her arm. We played it instantly, I laughed and cried and thought it was the most beautiful film I’d ever seen. I’ve seen it countless times since and listen to the soundtrack most days.
